Hello all,

First time poster, long time lurker....

Lets see, where should i begin... Well, i have a computer that i built about 8 months ago. Anyways, my latest problem is that i have had a linksys wireless card cause a hardware stop blue screen. So to remedy this, i uninstalled the card, went to buy another card as a replacement and the card will not show up in device manager, in either windows xp or vista. I tried a sound card that i know works and it does not show up either. I have tried all the slots on the board as well. So for kicks i reinstalled windows, and was installing updates and such, and now the onboard lan no longer works. Is my motherboard slowly dying or could it be the power supply? I'm at a total loss here with so many problems happening at once on a fresh install of windows.

Thanks for any help!

Specs:

2X CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Socket AM2
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB

As per your description, the motherboard seems to be failing. However I have never seen a motherboard failing part by part the way you describe it.

Is there a chance that by trying to install your wireless card, you have corrupted you network card driver??
When you reinstall the OS (XP or Vista), do you go install the manufacturer's drivers or use the generic drivers of the Windows CD. Also make sure that you always install the Chipset driver first.
For testing your components, you may also use a bootable linux CD (Knoppix or ...), because they are usually good at recognizing components.

Good Luck!

To adjust the amount of image expansion when printing borderless photos, select Auto Expand as the Enlargement Method, then adjust the Borderless Expansion slider to Min, Mid, or Max. (If you select Retain Size, the image is printed at its actual size without scaling.)
