Is it possible, and if Yes how?
Thanks. |

Two places that you can search are: c:\windows\history\history.ie6\index.dat and c:\windows\tempor~1\content.ie6\index.dat the only problem is that these files are invisible with windows file manager.
You will need to retrieve them using DOS or LINUX.
Good Luck! |

| The index.dat files can be read to obtain explorer cache... These will be the last chance of recovering visited sites... Unless you purchase specialist software to recover deleted data. |

Important changes relating to age discrimination in UK employment law became effective in October 2006, with implications for all types of appraisals and job performance and suitability assessment. Ensure your systems, training and materials for appraisals reflect current employment law. It's helpful to understand these recent laws also if you (young or old) are being appraised. The UK (consistent with Europe) Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, effective from 1st October 2006, make it unlawful to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of age. This has several implications for performance appraisals, documents used, and the training of people who conduct staff appraisals. For example, while not unlawful, the inclusion of age and date-of-birth sections on appraisal forms is not recommended (as for all other documentation used in assessing people). For further guidance about the effects of Age Equality and Discrimination on performance appraisals, and other aspects of managing people, see the Age Di

the "History" directory is marked "invisible" by default, so it's likely that you won't find it by default. You'll need to enable viewing hidden files in Windows Explorer, or searching for Hidden Files when you perform a search. In a Command Prompt, you can simply "CD" to it, even if you don't see it.
The easiest way is to simply recover the contents of that directory, including all subdirectories, from a recent backup. If you've been making regular backups of your full system, as recommended, then you can simply use your backup utility to restore only those directories, after which you should be able to restart IE and have the old history restored.
Alternately, and with an even lower chance of success is to see if you can "undelete" an older version of the files found in that directory. If you get very lucky you might be able to undelete or recover a file that has the history you want. I do not recommend this approach, simply because the chances of it working are so very low.

However, (at this point I thought 'Oh, I never bothered to try Wikihow!' *facepalm*) apparently there are copies saved on your computer after all! (probably didn't find them because I ignored the ".dat" files, which it turns out are exactly what I was looking for.)
You can find the full instructions at http://www.wikihow.com/Recover-Deleted-History-in-Windows but I will make one point: If you download ANYTHING, make sure you scan it with an anti-virus as soon as you can! Don't use the one that pops up with some downloads, along the lines of "Run a scan while you wait! Free Virus Scan!", they are often unreliable or viruses themselves.
Run your own anti-virus, usually it'll be Norton, or McAfee if you never went and chose a different one, as they come with PC's (I'm pretty sure all, but not 100%)
You can never be too careful, I've come so close to having to replace my PC because I didn't run one. Also remember that playing around with system files can have just as bad an effect as a virus if you don't follow the instructions very carefully, it only takes one tap of the 'Delete' button, and your computer won't boot up again, at least without paying for someone to fix it for you, or reinstalling the whole Operating System.
