| hi i an asus p5vd2-vm /p5v_vm se dh motherboard just pot it in and it just starts up till it tells you to press f1 to continue and it will start up windows xp after you hit f1 and thats how i have to do it all the time could you enlighten me please as to whats up thank you joshua |

You should have a line telling you that there were an error (and what kind of error that was) during POST
Then you are offered to press F1 to disregard the error and continue booting Windows.
Often that error is related to a bad keyboard or the CPU detected is not the original or no mouse is detected...
So read the error message on your screen before you press F1 and let us know if you need more help.

yes sorry there was a message and some beeps .the message was
that the fan was to slow or it was not working .but it is working and its that its not plugged in to the cpu fan plugged in on the motherboard but plugged in where the chassis plugged in as that is the only plug on the fan so i had to put it on where it is is there a way to disable it thank you for your help |

I would still think that you did not plug the fan where it should be!
But you can go to your BIOS settings and disable "stops on warning"

Yahoo has a ’scoring’ system where you start with 100 points and after 250 you can then start to click ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ on questions, for example along with more options like being able to ’star’ a question more times then just 10 in one day.
