Hello,
I have a laptop and my screen is flickering. I am still able to go to my account and access all my data but the flickering is extremely annoying.
Is there a way I can fix that? |

Hello Souriss,
Check at the back of your laptop if you have a plug where you could attach the monitor of another computer?
Then, once you signed in your account, right click on your desktop, go on “Graphic Options”, then on “Output to” and then click on “Monitor”.
Now your computer monitor should turn on and hopefully be without any flickering. (that would allow you to backup your data and would tell you that you need to change your laptop’s monitor!)
Cheers. |

Hi Souriss,
Then you should try to reinstall the driver.
Click “Start”, Right click on “My Computer”, select “Properties”, click on the tab “Hardware”, click on “Device Manager”.
Then click on the plus sign next to “Display Adapters”, you should get a sub menu displaying the exact type of Display adaptor that you have (Intel Graphic Media Accelerator or Nvidia GeForce or ATI). Then click on uninstall!
Does your monitor stop flickering for a while?
If yes, right click on the Display Adaptor submenu and Click disable!
You should also try to search for new versions of you display adaptor driver, it may fix your problem.
Good luck. |

Dude maybe it's a hardware problem but you haven't looked at the software side. If your screen refresh rate is too low, you will see flicker. Right click an empty area on your desktop and click properties. Click the Settings Tab (top row of tabs) on the Display Properties window and then click Advanced, click Monitor and make sure your refresh rate is set to 60. Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your monitor and video card (or integrated video chip on motherboard).
