Hi,
Thanks to my kids, I have contracted some kind of virus where a pop up messages from Windows security alert comes up and tells me that I am under an Internet attack and it prompts me to download a spyware remover safewebnavigate.
I have tried to run all kinds of antiviruses (avguard, panda...) and spyware guards like (adaware, spybot...) but the warning messages are coming back!
What should I do, except buying another computer!
Thanks. |

Actually, you do not have a virus, nor a spyware thus none of the antivirus, nor antispyware will remove anything for you.
All what it is is a special program that just pops up false warnings, pretending to be from Microsoft windows security.
To fix that, you need a special program called SmitFraudFix, download it by following this link ( http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php ), and make sure to follow the procedure. |

Once you download the Smitfraud fix program, make sure to update it!
The new version of the fraud has multiple locations and only the updated version of SmitFraudFix remove them. Furthermore, try installing SpyBot and run it, as it will find other files and remove them and finally, use an updated antivirus that may remove some more file.
This smitfraud is worst than I originally thought when I read these posts. |
