Hi Zack,
This question deserves a chapter.
Quick fixes:
- Remove Temporary files: go to My computer>> C: Drive>> Documents and Settings>> Your windows login username>>Local settings>> Temp
Delete all its content
Do the same thing with file: Temporary Internet Files
There might be some files that you cannot remove (because they are currently in use) be remove all what you can.
Note: when you search for these folders, you might not find them because windows hides them, so go back on "My Computer", at the top click on "Tools" then "Folder Options", then on the windows that just opened, click on the tab "View", then scroll down the list and remove checkmark in front of "Hide Protected Operating System" the click to "Apply to All Folders".
-Empty Recycle Bin again
- Defrag hard drive (Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tolls>>Disk Defragmenter) Select C: and click on Defragment (it should take a long time, maybe an hour or more!)
That should reorganize you hard drive for efficiency!
The Best thing to do is to reinstall Windows (guide available on our site), also you may consider to back-up your files (guide also available on our site)
Cheers. |

Open Windows Explorer, Right click on your c drive, Click on Properties, choose the Tools Tab, Click on Check Now. Windows will tell you if you want to schedule it next time your computer restarts, Click yes.
Restart your computer, it will try to fix the errors in your C drive. |

t has come to my attention after SMX that the large community of Wikipedia can be an excellent resource for helping out your clients with their link-building efforts. If you find a very old picture on Wikipedia and your client has the same thing for sale and has updated photos that are ‘not going to have licensing issues surrounding their use’ - basically amateur photos - then you may be able to get them into Wikipedia.
