Hi,
Recently, I have been getting a recurring popup from Norton Antivirus. Usually I don't care but this one keeps coming back every minute or so, and honestly it has become quite annoying!

The message is: A recent attempt to attack your computer was blocked

What should i do about it?

Don't worry Ricky,

As long as Norton blocks something and it does not interfere with your computing, it is Ok.

Now you can disable the notification for that warning in particular by going to your Norton control panel, the Norton Internet Security, click on Personal Firewall, then Configure, then notification Options, find Portscan from the list and uncheck it.

That should stop the notification of that particular threat!

Important changes relating to age discrimination in UK employment law became effective in October 2006, with implications for all types of appraisals and job performance and suitability assessment. Ensure your systems, training and materials for appraisals reflect current employment law. It's helpful to understand these recent laws also if you (young or old) are being appraised. The UK (consistent with Europe) Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, effective from 1st October 2006, make it unlawful to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of age. This has several implications for performance appraisals, documents used, and the training of people who conduct staff appraisals. For example, while not unlawful, the inclusion of age and date-of-birth sections on appraisal forms is not recommended (as for all other documentation used in assessing people). For further guidance about the effects of Age Equality and Discrimination on performance appraisals, and other aspects of managing people, see the Age Di

Mis-leading Applications are Fake "Products" that may give exaggerated reports of errors on the computer, which is what you have shown by the messages you are getting. If you hover the Mouse on the icon, that might display it, or if you can get Task Manager up, that will display the Names.

There is nothing to worry about it i think . It is not going to affect your system performance i think. But better you use an antivirus other than Norton. Smile
