Hi guys, it seems that I caught a nasty virus. I can't remove the virus because I can't login to windows (I get the login screen, click on my user, it starts to login but it immediately logoff and save settings). Safe mode does not work either (user nor administrator).

First you should download a bootable antivirus (rescue CD from Bitdefender: http://download.bitdefender.com/rescue_cd/ ) and burn the image to a CD. The boot your computer with it and run the antivirus. (at this point your computer still wont work but the virus would have been disabled).

Then you need to repair your registry. You will need to follow the instructions from this site (follow the pictures, they help a lot) http://windowsxp.mvps.org/peboot.htm I have already done this procedure and it works perfectly.
