|
|
Hello,
For the last couple of days, I am not able to install any programs whatsoever. I get errors with the cab files.
Obviously, I have tried various softwares, whether on CD or downloaded on my hard drive but none worked.
Any ideas? |

Often cab file errors are due to corrupted RAM sticks.
Try switching you RAM to check if they are the ones causing the problem. (If you have two sticks, check them individually, otherwise use RAM from another computer). >>DO NOT TEST YOUR RAM IN AN OTHER COMPUTER AS YOU MAY DAMAGE ITS MOTHERBOARD!!!!!!
Good luck. |

If you are getting the BSOD when installing something I would say you are either overheating so you need a cooling station or you have bad sectors in your HDD, in which case you need to run a diskcheck and hope for the best.
The ultimate way to fix it is to reformat the PC, that will solve any software issues and if it still happens you know it is actually a hardware issue.
