| what does it mean when you turn on a computer and all it does is beep nothing else happens just a lot of beeps. This is my dtrs computer and she need it for school. thank you walnutsprings |

Hi there,
Your computer is giving you an error message. The pattern of the beeping will tell you exactly what part of your computer is failing (RAM, CPU, AGP,...).
Unfortunately there are no standards for the error messages, therefore you need to refer to your motherboard's user manual to get the meaning of the beep pattern.

If you removed the RAM it should beep like mad when you try to boot it up. I concurr with you, I think processor or motherboard is damaged. Probably processor.
